Scott Butcher’s latest book about regional architecture, Historic Architecture of Pennsylvania, was released in 2013 and this presentation is a companion to the book. Covering more than 30 architectural styles found in six central Pennsylvania communities (Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, York), the book and presentation showcase the diversity of architectural styles in the region, which in turn are excellent stylistic examples of the buildings found throughout the United States. Scott is also the author of York’s Historic Architecture and Historic Architecture of Pennsylvania.
Presented by: Scott D. Butcher, FSMPS, CPSM. He has spoken about architectural topics to Rotary Clubs in York, Lancaster, and Harrisburg, as well as programs of the York County Heritage Trust, Historic York, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Penn State York, and other venues.
